John Fahrenkrog was a former architecture student of Haertling's that commissioned a house in 1967 to be built in Snowmass Colorado on a ski-in, ski-out lot. The lot did not have any spectacular views, so this was not a consideration in the design process. Fahrenkrog did not want snow to accumulate on the house, so Haertling designed a steeply pitched roof. An out-and-out bachelor pad, it features an indoor/outdoor pool situated between the living room and the lanai, and a super private ambience.
