Fredrick House

The Frederick residence is on a high hilltop and has a roof of red cedar shingles. High winds were a design consideration resulting in the flat roof plans. It was the first "tri-frame modular" design by Haertling. This design is very economical ($25,000), because it is as easy to build as an A-frame. It was started in May and finished in August. The interior features a wall that is 20 feet high. Neighborhood children enjoy playing at the places where the roof slopes down to what seemed their size.
